Max (the long-haired doxie) has always hated it when I pull out the wire brush. He sheds so much hair that it just has to happen, but I have to hide the brush behind my back until I have his collar in hand. I finally figured out why he doesn't like it: it hurts -- I brushed my own hair with it and it's not fun!
This new brush from Furrther is completely different. The rounded plastic tips on the metal tines makes it much more comfortable and Max tolerates it much more than I'd expected. He still doesn't trust me with brushes (too many bad experiences in the past), but at least he's okay with me once I start brushing. The misting aspect is fun and I think he likes the essential oils I've put in this new brush. The only part of the experience that he still balks at is when I get to his ankles, but I think he's just being super-picky. Bottom line: this new Furrther brush is a huge improvement!
Rose (the short-haired doxie) loves being brushed, mostly because she has almost nothing worth brushing (she sheds "eyelash" hairs, but not in quantity). She mostly wants the loving attention of being brushed (or just massaged) and this brush does the trick. Okay, I don't manage to pull out much hair (whereas with Max, I basically remove enough hair to knit a sweater per month), but she likes the feel and scent of the new brush. Definitely another win!
My long-haired kitty, Luna, is absolutely in love with this brush and the luxurious pampering it provides! It not only keeps her coat beautifully groomed but also helps me keep her clean without the need for frequent baths. This brush has truly been a game-changerāitās worth every penny, and I wouldnāt hesitate to buy it again! Highly recommend!
I love the fact that there's steam for the cats to enjoy, but the only problem I have is that the fur comes away wet! I realize that you need water for steam, but didn't expect it to be so wet on the fur. Other than that, my cats were curious and it did make my cats' fur soft-er (?). Still love Furrther products!!!
